History: This infection started a while back in the Hidden Sand of the Wind Country. Though since then it has moved so drastically as to actually have disappeared from Suna as well as from the wind country entirely. Nowadays it can be found rarely, if at all.
It started with a young boy of a phasing clan. It was a normal day for the young boy, his family was gifted with a phasing ability, they couldn't control it well though, so it was mostly useless, but this boy was much better with it at a young age. He was wondering around the greenhouses in the sand village, and he felt something poke his leg. It was a plant, and it actually turned out to be a crossbreed of a number of different plants and the only one of its kind. When its thorn cut into him it transferred something, and slowly it changed his DNA slightly.

As he grew he realized he could control his phasing abilities better, but not with just anything, mostly only animals, he realized he could consume the bodies of dead or living animals and take on properties of their being, even their form and senses. One of the things he realized was that his abilities would not be viewed as acceptable to the rest of the ninja world, and he would never dare try it with a human, although, he did figure out he could transfer the 'disease.' When the young boy first really noticed his abilities was when he happened to be attacked by a swarm of bees. He was, once again, walking through the greenhouses, he liked nature, and in the wind country it was a rare thing to see such lush plant life. He apparently disturbed a bee hive that had made its nest in that particular greenhouse, and the bees swarmed, the boy then panicked and began swatting at the bees, before he realized what was happening his genetic instinct took over, threat = copy. Black tendrils spread from his arms, smothering the bees, and they were absorbed into his body. Afterward he seemed to have a better sense of smell, and was able to see some forms of light he wasn't able to before, including the slight essence of the chakra of people around him. One of the bees he had only touched with the tendrils, and when he did so he was able to sense it, he immediately killed it, in fear it might spread the disease unknowingly. He also realized this allowed him to actually morph his own body. He started with just small spikes and eventually moved on to actually changing his whole arm into a big claw.
Since then this infection has mutated some, and caused some more drastic capabilities.

Abilities: The abilities are specific to the case, and as such people with the infection will be added to a list here for re-approval.

Idou Ankokutairiku:
Idou was born with this infection in a phasing based clan, and because of this it allows him to:

-1) Change the mass of his body to black tendrils.
--a. (He must do this to use the other abilities of his infection. Also, in truth, these tendrils are Idou’s true body mass. He uses a normally dormant part of the human brain for this.)

-2) Assimilate the mass of other creatures into his body.
--a. (He literally absorbs and reconstructs the flesh into his own mass, or rapidly breaks it down into energy, and drains any chakra from it. He uses a normally dormant part of the human brain for this.)

-3) Form a strong and tough over-body.
--a. (he takes in extra mass or rapidly replicates his own and forms new muscle and skin layers, and sometimes an exoskeleton. He uses a normally dormant part of the human brain for this.)

-4) Analyze other creatures’ DNA and alter his own to reflect the other being’s genetic traits.
--a. (Idou has two types of cells at a one to one ratio. The cells always have one dormant and shrunken, and one active and swelled. One set of cells contain his own DNA, and the other is a blank template, containing only the most common DNA in all animals, allowing him (after analyzing another creatures DNA) to replicate the characteristics of the DNA. In the process the template cells will finish the DNA strand, finish the cells, arrange the cells, and finally they will swell to become the dominant cells. He uses a normally dormant part of the human brain for this. NOTE: for all DNA it takes a day IRL to decipher the DNA. For human DNA, it takes another day to alter his own DNA and cells to take on the properties he wants. Finally, for animals, after the DNA has been read he can alter the template cells to take on an animal's properties as he wishes, and it takes all but a minute to properly arrange the cells and replicate the DNA properly with the help of the fact that his mass is separated and can, for the most part, rearrange in chunks. NOTE: In order to analyze the DNA he needs about a Vial worth of blood or a good size chunk of flesh to get a baseline on their DNA. He can also only have one eye-trait and two non-eye-traits active at any given time (excluding his own mutated bloodline).)

Drawbacks: Also dependant on the case, though all increase the chakra strain on the user significantly, and in response most will have some alternative form of obtaining chakra. If the user assimilates dead body mass into their body that dead tissue will basically become cancer in their body. NOTE: most of the abilities of this infection are VERY painful.
Extra Notes: Only “Pure Breeds” can spread the infection, and they have to consciously intend to infect someone for it to work. All “Pure Breeds” will be chosen and infected by Idou, as he is the only current “Pure Breed.”
